Abstract | Addresses several important aspects of counseling older 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-generation Japanese American clients, including their identity and the historical and cultural perspectives they bring to counseling; basic counseling strategies, including issues related to preparation and early stages of counseling; and ethical and diagnostic considerations related to their cultural differences.
